Friendly and clever cheerful person

The French Bulldog, like the pug and the Boston Terrier to the Dog breeds with flat muzzles . They are distinguished by their compact shape, almost square head, protruding bat ears, and, of course, their flat muzzle. The French Bulldog originated from the English Bulldog. It makes an excellent companion dog, being very affectionate and having a gentle temperament.

The Fédération Cynologique Internationale classifies the French Bulldog in FCI Group 9, which contains a total of 26 companion and toy dogs.

Character traits and personality characteristics of the French Bulldog

Despite their somewhat grumpy expression at first glance, French Bulldogs are extremely cheerful and playful companions. You, too, surely fell in love with their loyal, lively eyes at first sight. French Bulldogs are very attached to their owner and will hardly ever leave your side. They will protect you and your home without becoming aggressive.

You can do all sorts of activities with a French Bulldog. It just shouldn't be too strenuous, as while they love to romp around, they also enjoy relaxing.

Because of their narrowed nostrils, they have more difficulty breathing than other dog breeds. Especially in summer, this not only causes them breathing problems, but they can also easily overheat in the high temperatures. Caution and foresight are definitely advised!

The French Bulldog's boundless energy often makes it difficult to control. Therefore, loving but consistent training is very important. All dogs need training and should know and obey basic commands.
