Our products are manufactured exclusively in Austria. In Siegendorf, Burgenland, we combine state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship. Our highly motivated employees all work with passion on our handmade products. The muzzles, leashes, and collars are lovingly handcrafted. In return, all employees receive fair wages and enjoy fair working conditions. Without them, it would be impossible to delight our customers with such high-quality products. This is a clear commitment to quality and sustainability, even though production costs are higher than in Asia, for example.

Every production step is handcrafted in Austria. Every BUMAS product is truly unique – handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail.
In our factory, every product is carefully cut, punched, riveted, and tested. We place great emphasis on high-quality materials, precise workmanship, and sustainable production.
This handcrafting not only enables us to achieve the highest quality and durability, but also individual solutions – perfectly tailored to the needs of animals and humans.
At BUMAS we don't create an off-the-shelf product, but rather a custom-made piece of craftsmanship that combines functionality, comfort and design.
Original Biothane® from the USA
We only use 100% genuine Biothane. Biothane is a modern, high-quality synthetic material developed as an alternative to leather. It consists of a polyester fabric covered with a special plastic coating. This makes Biothane particularly tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and durable. A major advantage is its water resistance – even in heavy rain, the material does not absorb moisture and remains dimensionally stable. It is also very easy to care for: dirt can be easily removed with a damp cloth. Biothane is also resistant to UV radiation, mold, and bacteria. It retains its color and flexibility even in extreme temperatures. Unlike leather, it is vegan and therefore an animal-friendly option. Its smooth surface makes it feel comfortable and comfortable to hold. Due to these properties, Biothane is often used for dog leashes, horse harnesses, and outdoor equipment.

We've been inspected!
The Center for Species-Appropriate Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare is subordinate to the Federal Ministry of Health and is located at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. This center evaluates and labels, among other things, pet supplies with a corresponding certification mark. The evaluation is based on scientific findings, legal principles, and ethical considerations. The animal welfare label serves as a clear identifier for products that have been positively assessed by the center – that is, those that comply with the requirements of the Animal Welfare Act.
We received the prestigious animal welfare certificate for BUMAS muzzles in 2015. In October 2020, BUMAS collars were also certified. This means that all BUMAS products comply with animal welfare standards .
ANIMAL WELFARE IS IMPORTANT TO US
At BUMAS , animal welfare is at the heart of our actions.
As a manufacturer of high-quality, animal-friendly products, we take responsibility not only for quality and safety, but also for those who do not have their own voice.
That's why we're actively involved in animal welfare . We regularly support selected animal welfare organizations with donations of money and goods to support animal shelters, foster homes, and aid projects. Our goal is to work with our partners to sustainably improve the living conditions of animals.
With every BUMAS product, you help us continue this work. Because true love for animals doesn't stop with our own pets—it connects us all.
The BUMAS team consists of eight wonderful people. Every employee loves animals.
Our goal is to create a suitable, animal welfare-compliant muzzle for every dog.
Our production staff produces several hundred muzzles, collars, leashes, and harnesses per month. With over 50,000 satisfied customers, there's virtually nothing we can't produce. From simple muzzles to super-custom designs.
