The Boston Terrier comes across very lively. He loves to explore his surroundings and his fellows and to be constantly in motion. Sufficient exercise is therefore the best way to satisfy his urge to move. He is absolutely enthusiastic about agility. But he also needs an mental challenge. Boston Terriers love to romp around in rather warmer temperatures. As their short fur makes them sensitive to the weather. In winter a well-fitting dog coat is recommended and in summer a walk in the shady forest or park.
Due to his square head shape and the angular jaw, the Boston Terrier tends to have dental problems. But you can counteract these with adequate chewing articles. Despite his strong urge to move, he gets less air than other dog breeds because of his short nose. Just like the pug or the French bulldog, so you should not overdo it with frolicking and just pay attention when your pup needs a break.
The Boston Terrier is sometimes hard to stop due to his enormous temperament. That is why a loving but consistent education is very important. All dogs need education and should know the basic signals and be able to follow them.
