Choose YOUR options for the BUMAS Muzzle
Security straps
The number of straps at the muzzle front is increased. This makes the gaps between the straps smaller and improves safety. The muzzle becomes more stable and offers more protection.
We highly recommend the “Security Straps” option for:
- Insecure/anxious dogs
- Reactive dogs
- Dogs with a biting history
- Poison bait prevention
- To prevent unwanted food intake
- Dogs that are not yet socialised
- Dogs in pain (vet, therapy)
Lower Security Straps
Basically we recommend the full security straps option, because safety first!
We have developed the option “Lower Security Straps” for more free space at the front of the muzzle.
The advantage is you can pass treats through more easy. The disadvantage is that any reduction of straps affects safety.
Extra Safety
The number of straps on the muzzle sides is increased. This makes the gaps between the straps smaller and improves safety. The muzzle becomes more stable and offers more protection.
We highly recommend the “Extra Safety” option for:
- Dogs with a biting history
- Reactive dogs
- Dogs that are very smart and clever, and can thread poisoned bait or food scraps through the side straps of the muzzle.
Lower Extra Safety
We generally recommend the full Extra Safety function, because safety first!
We have developed the option “Lower Extra Safety” for more free space on the side walls of the muzzle.
The advantage is, you can pass treats through more easy. The disadvantage is that any reduction of straps affects safety.
Forehead strap
The forehead strap improves stability and provides additional hold on the dog’s head. On request, the forehead strap can also be made removable. A forehead strap is included for dogs with flat snouts.
Please note that a forehead strap does not exempt from positive muzzle training.
Reflective main strap
The main strap on the BUMAS muzzle is replaced by a reflective version. For additional safety in the dark. Our leashes and collars are also available in this version.
The reflective straps have a width of 19mm and are available in the colours neon yellow, neon pink, black and teal. Due to the width of the straps, this option is only possible from a muzzle circumference of 26cm.
Nose-Free
For dogs whose nose tip points upwards, such as German Boxers, we recommend the Nose-Free option. This ensures that the muzzle does not rest on the sensitive nose.
This option is also very suitable for dogs with “snub noses” such as American Staffordshire Terriers. And of course, if you wish, for any dog with a long snout. It’s simply better to sniff with the Nose-Free option!

Neoprene
A BUMAS muzzle is produced with a nose guard made of BioThane®. This is soft, smooth and comfortable. For extremely sensitive noses, e.g. with scars on the nose, this can be additionally equipped with soft neoprene.
We really only recommend the option Neoprene for very sensitive dog noses. Neoprene has large pores and can lead to fur breakage or bald patches.
Metal Buckle
Each BUMAS is equipped with a plastic click clasp.
There is also an optional classic metal buckle that variably closes the neck strap like a belt. Practical for dogs with heavy fur growth.
Brass Rivets
For dogs suffering from metal/nickel allergies, we offer rivets and screws made of allergy-free brass.
They are gold coloured and can be ordered for that reason only if you prefer that, of course!

The lightweight material and the ergonomic fit, as well as the customised production, are unique. Your dog wears the muzzle as a matter of course. Just like a human wears a light pair glasses. Your original BUMAS protects without disturbing the dog's vision and sense of smell.
